Christian the Lion
In 1969, two young Australian men took pity on a lion cub that was being sold to attract customers at a department store in London, so they decided to buy it and raise it. One year later, the lion, named Christian, had grown so large that it was no longer possible to keep him in London, so wildlife conservationist George Adamson (the author of the original film "Born Free") was consulted to take care of him in Kenya. They decided to release it on the land below. The following year, in 1972, They met Christian. Christian remembered them and even brought his wife with him.

  ライオンのクリスチャン
1969年、二人のオーストラリア人青年がロンドンの百貨店で客寄せのために売られていたライオンの赤ちゃんを不憫に思い買い取って育てることにした。一年後、クリスチャンと名付けられたライオンは大きく成長しロンドンでうことは不可能となり、野生動物保護学者ジョージ・アダムソン(映画 "野性のエルザ"の原作制作)に相談してケニアの彼の管理下にある土地に放すことにした。翌年の1972年、二人はクリスチャンと再会する。クリスチャンは二人のことを覚えていて奥さんまで連れてきた。
