very special ordinary days of hagakure by seiji-Mt.Fuji

Wow. February starts. We just have a 11month to go~!
Time is fly sooooooo fast. I couldn't remember what I did on last month.
Please don't say that it is because of my age. ha ha ha. (^O^)

Yesterday, I went to see the movie so called "ZEN".
It is about the DOGEN ZENJI, who is Japanese Zen Priest in early 12 century.
And also, the founder of Japanese SOTO ZEN Buddhism.
I will leave all the explanation about him and his philosophy to thier website.
Please check them if you have any interest.

The movie itself, it was very interesting.
I think I understood what he was trying to say in this movie but
it is very difficult to perform nowadays.

Well, after the movie.
The outside was so nice, and I realized I could see the Mt.Fuji from the
toproof paking. That was so nice.

Labour Thanksgiving Day

I forgot to write about the holiday we had on Sunday, Nov. 23rd.

On Sunday, we had a public holiday so called "Labour Thanksgiving Day (Kinro kansha no hi)"
since 1948.

The definition of that is to express honoring labour, celebrate its manufacturing, and give thanks to one another. Well, I forgot the meaning of this holiday until I looked up to the dictionary.

Anyway, this is the day to thanks to all workers! Hey, Thanks a lot everybody! and me too!!

On this day at the Imperial Palace, some traditional harvest festival occur which is called the "Niinamesai".

The emperor used to offer freshly harvested rice to the gods on behalf on the nation and then
partakes of the rice himself. This is like an Thanksgiving Day in U.S.A.

Well, this is the day to appreciate the work and the food we have today.

Thanks!
