Ballerina Ankle and Correction Machine

The term "Ballerina Correction Machine" might sound unfamiliar to many.

The Ballerina Correction Machine is a device aimed at softening the rigid ankles of ballerinas to achieve a beautiful position where the toes are stretched and the ankles are straightened.

When using the Ballerina Correction Machine:

By placing the toes into a cylindrical device, the machine automatically pulls the ankles towards the back of the foot. It claims to enhance the beauty of the stretched position by softening the ankles.

Many ballerinas, aspiring for the elegant pointed position with arched insteps, utilize this machine.

Approach to Ballerina Ankles

While opinions may vary, in my personal view, it's unreasonable to treat different feet conditions and sizes with a single machine.

For ballerinas, conditioning the ankles is crucial. Choosing a safe and suitable method is essential.

The fundamental approach focuses on the muscles on the outer side of the shin.

The stiffness of the muscles on the outer side of the shin often hinders achieving the beautiful pointed position. By precisely conditioning this area, one can often improve it themselves.

Moreover, many ballerinas struggle with stretching the muscles on the outer side of the shin, hence the discussion around the Ballerina Correction Machine.

Here, I'll introduce a method that ensures a definite approach, not just stretching.

[Tad's Approach] How to Create Beautiful Ballet Pointe Positions

Loosen the anterior tibial muscle through self-massage.Dorsiflex the ankle (flexing the foot towards the shin), grasp the tendon protruding on the front of the ankle, and push it sideways for about a minute.

Though seemingly simple, this method yields significant results. Ballerinas who have practiced this method themselves and achieved the most beautiful pointe positions are proof of its effectiveness.

(Incidentally, the reason this ballerina initially visited me was precisely because she couldn't achieve a beautiful pointe position.)

Given the rigorous training in ballet, it's crucial to ensure a definite approach.

While it may seem straightforward, understanding the body's structure affecting the beautiful ballet pointe positions and applying a precise approach enables self-improvement.

Through years of rigorous training, ensuring proper conditioning not only creates beautiful positions but also crucially prevents injuries.
