The founder of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that his mercenaries will allegedly leave their positions in Bakhmut and hand them over to units of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This is supposed to happen on May 10.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Prigozhin's press service.

"I am officially addressing the Chief of the General Staff, the Minister of Defense, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the people of Russia. I declare on behalf of the fighters of the "Wagner" PPC, on behalf of the "Wagner" PPC command, on May 10, 2023, we are forced to hand over the positions in the village of Bakhmut to the units of the Ministry of Defense and to withdraw the remnants of the "Wagner" PMC to the rear camps in order to lick their wounds," he said.

According to him, he made such a decision allegedly because of the ammunition hunger of the "Wagners".

"I am withdrawing units of the "Wagner" PMC from Bakhmut, because in the absence of ammunition they are doomed to a senseless death," Prigozhin said.

It should be noted that on the eve of this statement, Prigozhin published a video on the background of the "Wagnerians" who died in the war. He appealed to the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu and the Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov with a call to allocate ammunition.

Prigozhin previously threw out fakes about Bakhmut
It is worth noting that the leader of the "Wagners" is not making similar statements about Bakhmut for the first time. Earlier, Yevgeny Prigozhin launched a fake that he allegedly ordered the units to "stop firing in the Bakhmut area", but later said that he was just "joking".

The losses of the "Wagnerians" are really colossal
It will be recalled that the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported on the colossal losses of PMC "Wagner". According to analysts, only a fifth of the "Wagnerians" remained at the front.

At the same time, according to the White House, more than 30,000 soldiers of the "Wagner" PMK have already died in Ukraine, and they continue to suffer heavy losses.

Interestingly, Prigozhin's mercenaries are currently the main force of the invaders who are trying to capture Bakhmut.

However, the Armed Forces reported that if they do not fix the source of supply of personnel and do not change their tactics, there may be enough of them at the front for another month or two.
