例えば60年前の録音でもちっとも古臭くない。
そして演奏する人に老いも若きもへったくれもない。
ただ、おのおのの持てる力をぶつけ合う。
このアルバム録音時、ハーブ・ゲラー＝69歳、
ヤン・ラングレン＝31歳、デイブ・カーペンター＝37歳、
ジョー・ラバーベラ＝49歳。
まるでゴルフみたい？

I think the advantage of jazz is timelessness and every generation can enjoy playing it and listening to it. For example, the recordings of 60 years ago don't sound like old-fashioned. And it doesn't matter if the musicians are old nor young. They just do the best and create music together. That's all. When this album was recorded, Geller was 69, Lundgren 31, Carpenter 37 and La Barbera 49. Is it like a golf? (Though I haven't ever played it...)
