ONE NIGHT ONLY! Please join us for Amaterasu Za's Work in Progress presentation of ’Courier of Love', based on the plays of Monzaemon Chikamatsu. Monday April 1st, 2019 7PM At the 52nd Street Project: 789 10th Avenue New York, NY 10019 The company will read the entire play and key scenes will be staged with costumes and movement. The entire play will be accompanied by live music played by the highly respected Gidayu-Shamisen player Tsugahana Tsuruzawa from Japan, as is the tradition in Bunraku and Kabuki. Co-directed by Ako and Ron Nakahara. Unreserved seating is free at the door, but capacity is limited.
