Recipe of Saffron Quinoa
You can make Saffron Rice w/same recipe. Just change Quinoa to Rice.
Ingredients for 2-3 persons
1cup Quinoa
1/2pc (small) Onion (minced)
0.2g Saffron
Sea salt, pepper, olive oil
2 cup Water
2-3Tsp Alomond powder
1) Wash the Quinoa and drain. Keep it 20 mins. Saffron soaks in hot water (2 Tsps) 15mins.
2) Roast the almond powder by frying pan. Watch carefully, it’s easy to burn.
3) Heat up the pot then sautee the minced onion w/ olive oil until onion will be translucency.
4) Add the quinoa to (3) then contitune to sautee.
5) Add the saffron, sea salt, pepper and water. Turn to the low flame after boiling, cover and simmer 15-20 mins.
6) Saet 10 mins after off the gas. Quinoa mix w/ roasted almond powder.
You may use other spice such like a cardamom, clove etc…
I use the alomond powder this time (Bcz, I had left over one). Quinoa will be mild taste and nutty flavor after mix w/ alomond podwer,
You may use pumpkin seed, sunflower seed and sliced almond whaterver you like.
