Q What is one thing that interest you the most?

Agnes 

Being a closed and conservative country, I had always been curious and at the same time fascinated with the Japanese culture and the differences in traditions.

フィリピンと日本は同じ島国でも文化や伝統の違いが沢山あってとても興味深い様子です

Q What makes your lesson special?

Agnes 

I had always believed that my lessons are special because of the personal touch I give to my students. Aside from the materials from the internet, I give the students time to express themselves through free flowing conversation.

Moreover, I also share my own experiences and opinions basing on the topic being discussed during the lesson. I also make it a point that the discussion is fun so that the students will not be shy to express their ideas or opinions.

レッスンではトピックに関わる話題を広げて、できるだけ生徒さんに意見を言ってもらえる雰囲気づくりをしているAgnes先生です。

Q What are your favorite words quotes? 

Agnes

“There’s always rainbow after the rain.” 

“Tomorrow is a brand new day.”

Sometimes, we go through ordeals that are not expected. Sometimes, we are pulled down so badly that it’s difficult to get up. 

These quotes will give them the encouragement to face a brand new day and leave what’s bothering them in their daily lives.

まるで歌の歌詞にも出てきそうな言葉ですね

ときに苦しいことがあっても前向きに励ましてくれるようです

Q What are the things you like about Japan?

Agnes

One thing I like about Japan is that their country is very rich in history. Most people are shy but not afraid to learn new things.

日本について好きなところは歴史があるところ、そして日本人は恥ずかしがりやですが新しいことを恐れずに学ぶところがよいと言ってくれています

Q How do you motivate students who want to study English but find it difficult?

Agnes

I always make sure that I encourage them and being a teacher, I will help them understand what they find confusing 

through different means: pictures, definitions, sample sentences or experiences. 

生徒さんがわからなくて困っているときはAgnes先生がいろいろな方法で理解できるよう手助けしてくれますよ
