昨日ソウルで初めて英語と中国語バイリンガルのトーストマスターズhttp://cetm.co.krに行って来ました。
場所は明洞ショッピング街のど真ん中、一階にZARAがあるMPlazaで行われました。
参加費は２,０００ウォン（約２００円）
参加者は25人くらい、とても賑やかな雰囲気で、英語を話す方が多かったものの、中国語を話す方もいました。
ちなみに、トーストマスターズは、話かた、パブリック・スピーキング(大勢の人前で話すこと)、リーダーシップ・スキルの上達を目的とする、アメリカ発祥の国際的な非営利教育団体です。
昨日は二人のスピーチ（５〜１０分）と、Table Topics(その場で与えらたるトピックに関して２分ほど発表）、と短いクループ討論がありました。
日本にも勿論多数のトーストマスターズ クラブがありますので、是非 toastmasters.orgにて近くのクラブで体験をしてください。良い出会いがありそうです。
I attended my first Bilingual (English and Madarin Chinese) Toastmasters club meeting in Seoul yesterday. http://cetm.co.kr
The meeting was held in the middle of the Myongdong shopping district, on the 5th floor of Mplaza where Zara occupies the 1st floor. The attendance fee was 2,000 won (about 200 yen). There were about 25 participants, and the mood was cheeful and lively. Most people spoke and presented in English, but some spoke Chinese.
Toastmasters International is a US headquatered nonprofit educational orginzation that serves to improve communciaton and public speaking skills.
Yesterday we had two speeches (5~10 minutes), Table Topics (2 minutes speech on Impromptus topics given), and short group discussion (the topic was whether college education was relevant)
There are many Toastmaters clubs in Japan, please visit toastmasters.org, find a club near you and go experience yourself. I sense a very special encounters waiting for you!
