超軽量コンセプトの1ローターエンジン搭載のロードスターを製作中らしい。
鉄⇒アルミ削り出しで、おむすび1個、約1kg軽くなる。
レシプロのピストンのような往復運動ではなく、ロータリーは回転運動なので軽量化の恩恵が、どのように出力やレスポンスに影響するか不明だが、冷却やエンジンの軽量化には効きそう。
とりあえず今回は組んだだけで、エンジンは始動していない。
エンジン始動とロードスターの走りが楽しみ。

Consider hard anodizing the rotor. This an option for conventional pistons. Andozing requires different final dimensions to account for the film thickness. Where the billet is light, the anodizing would add a thing ceramic layer to resist heat and abrasion.
