上の段が歩行者と自転車用で、下の段が自動車用と二階建てになっているトンネル。
自動車やトラックに合わせると高さが必要となりアンダーパスの距離が長くなる。
上下に分割することで、上の段は円弧を小さく→距離を短くできる。
歩行者や自転車にとって使い勝手が良い＆自動車と分離されているので安全。

Actually, the motorway tunnel in Maastricht (A2/N2) is also a stacked Tunnel, but this one is still unique because it does not stack just road traffic.
実際、マーストリヒトの高速道路トンネル (A2/N2) も積層トンネルですが、こちらは道路交通だけを積層していない点がやはりユニークです。
