発火する可能性があるので危険な作業らしい。

木が乾燥しているのか、中から燃えてます。
黒く焦げている部分から、25フィート（7.62ｍ）離れたところで、200℃以下にならないとOKにならないらしく、何時間もかけて冷却するらしい。木を細かく切るのは、延焼を防ぐ為、冷却の為かも知れませんね。
They Said It Was To Dangerous To Cut because it was already on fire. In an area where it could catch everything else on fire. Had fallen into an unburned area - would have laddered up and caught fire and threatened homes after we had left. It was reported by another crew and marked as a killer tree because they didn't have any sawyers qualified to deal with it. Probably spent an hour on it with the crew. Took most time to cool everything down. 25 feet off the black has to be under 200 degrees.
