東名レーストップクラスに、Zが存在したような気がするのだが、
たしか、そのボンネットの中は、アメリカンV8だったと思う。
他車種エンジンに乗せ替えなら、今ならスープラの2JZが良いと思いますね。
直6だし、3Lだし、1000馬力にできるし、アメリカならライセンス生産の純正部品が、今でも生産されているので、新品部品でエンジン組むことが可能。
それに伴い、エンジン内部の社外チューニングパーツも豊富に存在する。
アメリカでもS30にV8エンジンは、評判悪いようです↓（笑）

The Rotsun should stay a V6 car, please don't put a V8 there. Maybe try a different, stronger V6 engine, but don't do yet another V8 swap - the american car culture is sooo over-saturated with this crap.

Agreed I don't think V8s really suit the S30 Zs
The Roadkill Rotsun, a ’71 Datsun 240Z, is famed as the car that never fails to fail. Maybe it’s the curse of the S30 chassis platform, because there was a really radical, 8-second, turbo-LS-powered 240Z at Hot Rod Drag Week 2016 that showed great promise, but then…Roadkill. See it here.

This STUNNING 240z may not have had its original L24 motor, but it was at least replaced by a Murican’ v8 and a GIANT turbo! You know you’re in for a show when the owner leaves the wheelie bars in the trailer! Due to cage restrictions, the Z was limited to 8.50 second passes but was easily capable of 7’s!l
