"No-Prep" races were invented to put the outcome of races more in the hands of the racers, than the money poured into their cars by leaving he track 'un-prepped' without any traction compound sprayed or heating the surface with 'dragging' the track. Luck of lane choice, power of the car, but most importantly, drive still typically determine the outcome of these races, sometimes racers are too eager and stay in it just a little too long. Luckily the driver stepped out of the car only a couple minutes after contact and walked away... thank god for modern safety equipment!
