しばらくおやすみして更新できなくて本当にごめんなさい。出張などで忙しくしてました。。。
そんな間、みんな本当の紳士のように振る舞っていた事を祈りつつ、今日の話題は・・・「座席の配置」である。
厳密に言えば、レストランでの座席の配置。
普段、あなたがカップルでレストランへ行く時、通常ウェイターは2名用の席に案内をする。たまにあなたがラッキーならば、ウェイターは４人用の席へ案内するだろう。
そうなったら、広めのスペースができるためちょっとうれしい。
僕はカップルでレストランへ行く時、２名用のせまい席に座るのが嫌だ。
なぜかって？
まず、ドリンクや食べ物がおかれる十分なスペースがなく窮屈で狭い感じがするから。
でも、なんといっても一番嫌なのは、隣の席の見知らぬ人の方が、デートしている彼女よりも僕の近くに座っているという事。
こんなふうに座る場合、まわりの人が視界に入り気が散ってしまい、デート中、あなたやもしくは彼女が完全に居心地いいはずないではないか。
だから僕は予約をする際、いつも決まってある事をしている。
そうするとこんな嫌な思いはしなくてもすむようになる。
そんなあることとは？

During that time I hope you have been a prince and a real gentleman to you sweet lady. Today I want to talk about seating.
Specifically, seating at a restaurant. Usually when you go to a restaurant as a couple, the waiter will seat you at a table for two persons. Sometimes however, you get lucky, and the waiter will seat you at a table for four. When that happens you feel good and different because you have extra space.
I hate it when I go to a restaurant as a couple and I get seated at a small table for two. Why? Well, first, because there is not much room on the table for all the drinks and food. It feels cramped and narrow.
But mostly I hate it because, usually, the people at the table next to me (strangers) are closer to me than my date who is sitting in front of me.
When sitting like this, it forces you to look straight at the other person. On a date, this is not comfortable for you or for her.
That's why, when I make a reservation, I always do something.
