ある日、若侍は流祖飯篠長威斎家直先生の道場の入り口で熊のような大男と遭遇しました。 その熊男は先輩である若侍に礼をすることもなく、道場に入ってゆきました。 稽古が始まり、その熊男は次々と相手を替え、圧倒してゆきました。 その剣は鋭く、とても力強く、とても速いものでした。 そして、若侍の先輩をも圧倒してゆきました。 その相手を見下した態度は道場の雰囲気を一変させてしまいました。
稽古が終わり、弟子一同が正座し、神前と長威斎先生に礼をした後に長威斎先生が口を開いたようです。 ”香取神宮経津主大神の技に比べれば、どんな人の技も赤子の技と知るべし、 天地を敬い、経津主大神を敬い、己の未熟を知り稽古に励むべし”。 その言葉は熊男に向けられたと誰もが思いました。
１ｃｍのタッチの差で金メダルを得て、０．０１秒の差で銀メダルに涙しなければならない現代社会の価値観は、ミクロへミクロへと向かいます。宇宙の大きさからみれば地球は塵以下であり、１ｃｍの差に何の価値があるのでしょうか？ 地球の年齢４６億年に比べれば人間の寿命８０年は瞬きほどであり、０．０１秒の価値は語ることも困難です。 自分の立ち位置を知るため、物事の本質を見極めるためには、マクロへマクロへと価値観を広げることも大切かもしれません。
”人間５０年、下天のうちに比ぶれば、夢幻のごとくなり。 ひとたび、生をうけ滅せぬもののあるべきか。”
これは敦盛の一節です。 かつて、織田信長は戦の前に敦盛を唄い自分を鼓舞したようです。 織田信長は敦盛を噛みしめながら宇宙を感じ、宇宙スケールで自分の立ち位置を見つめ、自分が与えられた瞬きほどの短い人生でやらなければならないことを感じ、成し遂げようとしました。

”我必ずしも聖にあらず、彼必ずしも非にあらず、ともに是れ凡夫のみ。”
これは、聖徳太子の十七条憲法の第十条に書かれている一文です。 聖徳太子は、一度に多数の人が言ったことを聞き取れたほどの天才的な人間でしたが、すべての人間は等しく、皆、凡夫であると言っております。 聖徳太子は、仏の力、才から比べれば、自分も並みの人間であることを知っておりました。 聖徳太子は自分自身を客観的に知り、天地（宇宙）、神仏を畏敬しました。

人間社会で人間の尺度で生きて感じるものと、宇宙スケール、神仏の尺度で感じるものは全く異なることがあります。 物事の本質を見極めるために、天地（宇宙）、神仏を敬い、その尺度で物事を見つめることも大切かもしれません。
Oneday, the young worrier encountered a big worrier like a bear at the entrance of Dojo of the founder. The bear-like worrier entered the Dojo without greeting to the young worrier who was a senior. The training began, and then the bear-like worrier defeated many opponents including seniors. His attitude looking down on the opponents had changed the atmosphere of the Dojo.
After the training and thank-you greeting to God and the founder were over, the founder said to the followers. "The sword technique of human beings is like techinique of a baby compared to that of God, so-called Futsunushi No Ohmikami living in Katori Shrine. Do hard training with knowing your prematured technique". Everybody understood what the founder said was aimed at the bear-like worrier.
Contemporary value came from very a micro point of view because a gold medal at Olympic was given due to 1cm faster than the second and a silver medal was given due to 0.01 second slower than the first.
The earth is smaller than a dust in comparison with the universe, and then what is value in 1cm difference ? 80 years life span of human beings is like a wink in comparison with 460 million years age of the earth so that it is too difficult to explain value of the 0.01 second difference. A sense of value from a macro point of view seems to be very important for us to know where we are and what it is nature of everything.
50 years life span of human beings is just like a dream or illusion in comparison with the universe.
Nodoby does not die once we were born.
This is a phrase of a famous Noh poem, Atsumori. A very famous londloard, Mr Nobunaga Oda encouraged himself by singing the poem before going to a battle field. He made his best effort to do it by feeling what he needs to do within his life span and where he is from the universe scale.
I am not great. He is not an idiot. Everybody is regular people.
This is a sentence of 17 constitutions made by Prince Shotoku Taishi. Prince Shotoku Taishi was a genious who could listen to many people at a time. However, he said everybody equally was regular people. He knew he was a regular person in comparison with Buddha. He greatly respected God, Buddha, and the universe with knowing himself objectively.
There is a huge difference in our feeling between by a scale of human beings and by scales of God, Buddha, and the universe. Thinking about everything by scales of God, Buddha, and the universe. seems to be quite important for us to understnad nature of everything.
