士分に再度、取り立てられた若侍は、流祖飯篠長威斎家直先生の使いとして、長威斎先生の手紙を室町幕府第八代将軍足利義政公に届けるために初めて京に上りました。その後、応仁の乱（１４６７年）が勃発する京の町はすでに荒れ果てておりました。町には生気がなく、規律もなく、人々は困窮し、ただ地べたに横たわり死を待ち、そして、死臭が漂う町中には盗人が横行しておりました。
若侍が将軍に直接、謁見出来る訳もなく、将軍の家来を訪ね、手紙を手渡しました。すると、その家来から、ある公家が天下に聞こえた香取神道流の技を見たいとのことで、夕刻にその公家屋敷を訪ねるように言い渡されました。
若侍は言われたように、その夜、その屋敷を訪ねました。 煌煌と薪が焚かれ、中庭の向こうの奥座敷で賑やかな酒宴が催されておりました。 男どもは酒を浴び、肴を喰らい、女どもは肌を露わにして男に寄り添い、酒を呷って興じておりました。若侍は庭の真ん中で、余興として香取神道流の技を披露するように命じられました。
若侍は目を閉じて、極意の居合”雲切乃剣”に集中しました。すると、瞼の奥に道端で餓死した者達の姿が現れ、変化者がその者達の身体を蝕んでおりました。 屋敷の中に、邪悪な妖気を感じました。”雲切乃剣（魔よけの剣）”は鋭く、魔物が戦き消え失せるように公家屋敷が静まり返りました。貧困により１年も生きられない乳飲み児がいれば、権力のもとで丸々と太った輩がいる。 若侍は、人はこの魔物に容易に惑わされ、その魔物を退治するのが香取神道流の真髄であると確信しました。
１５年前にインドを訪問しました。日本人は衛生的な生活に慣れ、インドの環境に適応できないということで一泊２万円の衛生的な高級ホテルに宿泊しました。それでも、シャワーを浴びるときは、口を固く閉じ水を飲まないように注意をされました。 到着した日はホテルのレストランで夕食をとりました。当然、夕食代も１万円を超えました。そのレストランで、インドの伝統的な民族衣装サリーで着飾り、夕食を楽しむ１８歳くらいの少女達を見ました。彼女たちは運転手付の高級ベンツで帰ってゆきました。
翌日、ホテルの周りにスラム街が広がっていることに気づきました。やせ細った多くの子供達が貧しさと悪臭の中で暮らしておりました。前日の夜のサリーで着飾った少女達と貧しさの中で生き抜いている子供達に何の罪も違いもありませんが、この世の不平等、不公平を感じ、強く神仏の御加護を祈る旅となりました。
The young worrier, who was recognized again as a worrier, visited to Kyoto for delivering a letter from the founder to Ashikaga Shogun, Mr Yoshimasa Ashikaga. Kyoto was already ruined before the civil war, so-called "Onin-No-Ran"in 1467. People were extremely poor and lay on the bare ground for their death in Kyoto where was not prosperous and disciplined, So there were many thieves in bad smell from dead bodies.
It was so impossible to hand the letter to the Shogun that the worrier asked a man of the Shogun for the letter. The man asked him to visit to a mansion of an aristocrat for demonstration of Katori Shintoryu at the night.
He visited there at the night as he was told . A luxury party was being held in a big hall beyond middle-yard with a lot of bonfire. A lot of men and women drank and ate loosely. He was ordered the demonstration in the middle of the yard.
He concentrated for Iai of Katori Shintoryu, so-called"Kumokiri-No-Ken"with closing his eyes. A lot of people, who died for starvation, appeared in his brain and were eaten by evil. He felt evil in the mansion. The Iai, so-called "Kumokiri-No-Ken" was so powerful that all of the people became frozen and silent like evil had gone. There are newborns who can not live for a year for poverty and a lot of fat adults who enjoy a luxury party. He firmly believed nature of human beings who are easily allured by evil, and nature of Katori Shintoryu which defeats the evil.
I visited to India 15 years ago. I stayed at a very luxury, sanitary hotel at US$200/night because Japanese are not get used to unsanitary indian environment. However, I was told you should strongly close your mouth when you take a shower. I took a dinner at the hotel on the day when I arrived in India. The cost was more than US$100. I saw pretty girls at age of around 18 years old wearing traditional clothes, so-called sari, and enjoying a dinner at the restaurant. They got back to their home by luxury Mercedes with a chauffeur.
Next day, I saw a slum district around the hotel where a lot of poor children lived in stavation and bad smell from unsanitary things. I wished them equality & fairness and God bless them through the trip because there was no crime & no difference between the girls wearing beautiful Sari and the children living in slum district.
