家族が寝静まった後、その侍は襲撃された夜の事を思い出し、自分が取った行動を振り返りました。“人間５０年、妻をめとって子を授かり、四十路に近づく今まで家族を守ってきた。 どんな困難が待ち受けようとも、これからもこの小さな家族を守り続け、人生を全うしよう。 それが天命であると思った。 あの夜、侵入者は何のために襲撃してきたのか？ 家族を養うためではなかったのか？ そうであったら、右腕を切り落としたことが正しかったのか？ 自分の家族を守ることによって、他人の家族が不幸になっているとしたら、耐え難い”。 しかし、これも自分が生かされている内の試練であり、耐えるしか術がないと目を閉じて、自問した。
先達て、人格を磨くにはどのようにしたら良いのですかと天真正伝香取神道流を極めようとする門人から問われました。 お釈迦様は六波羅蜜の実践を提唱しております。 １つの答えかもしれません。
布施 ： 見返りを求めず、人のために尽くすこと。 尾畑春夫さんです。
自戒 ： 自らを律し、戒めること。
忍辱 ： 自らが他の存在に生かされていることを知り、如何なる辱めを受けても耐え忍ぶこと。
精進 ： 不断の努力をすること。
禅定 ： 冷静に自分自身を見つめること。
智慧 ： 布施、自戒、忍辱、精進、禅定を実践し、生きることの本質を知ること。

After the family was fast asleep, the samurai worrier remembered marauded night and looked back to the behavior he took. "I married and received children during my life of 50 years. While approaching forty years old, my family has been protected so far. Whatever kind of difficulty will wait, I'll also keep protecting this small family now, and fulfils my life. I thought that was a destiny. Why has an intruder marauded at that night? Wasn't it to keep his family? If it was so, was it right to have cut his right arm off? When the others' family becomes unfortunate by protecting my family, it's difficult to stand. But it was a trial while I am lived. There were no ways but I stood, I closed an eye and asked myself".

Jikai : Contorl your self and scold yourself.
Ninniku : Know yourself to be lived by other existence, and whatever kind of difficulty is received, endure.
Shoujin : Make the best effort constantly.
Zenjo : Reflect yourself objectly everyday.
Chie : Through the execution of Fuse, JIkai, Ninniku, Shoujin, Zenjo, know about meaning of living.
