小学校４年生の時に、私は体育の時間のドッジボールのプレイ中に大けがをしました。 ボールを取り合いしていた時、私の下でボールを抱えていた子が急に立ち上がり、その子の頭が私の顎に強く当たりました。 アッパーカットを食らった状態です。 私は後ろにのけ反り、地面に倒れました。 朦朧とする中で、口から血が吹き出るのを今でも、覚えております。
私は香取神宮の西側にあった額賀歯科医院に運ばれ、舌の接合手術を受けました。 手術後、額賀先生は大きな手で私の頭をなでながら、”もう大丈夫、頑張ったね”と優しく言ってくれました。 その後、数年たって、両親からもう少し遅れていたら命が危うかったと知らされました。 額賀先生は私の命の恩人だと知り、深く感謝しました。
香取神道流に入門し、大竹先生に教えを請うようになりました。 大竹先生の神武館道場には ”香取神宮” と ”鹿島神宮” と書かれた軸が掛けられております。その上に、”神武館” と書かれた大きな書が額に入って飾られております。 それを書いた書家が、額賀先生であることを大竹先生から知らされました。 なんとも、言えない深い縁を感じて、涙をこらえるのがやっとでした。 ただただ、感謝です。 今、生かされていることに感謝です。
I was seriously injured when I played dodgeball at 4th grade of my elementary school. A pupil having a ball suddenly raised up and his head hit my chin. It is like an uppercut. I fell down to the ground from my back. I still can remember blood erupted from my mouth.
I was delivered to Nukaga hospital which was located at west of Katori Shrine, and got surgery to unite my tongue. Dr Nukaga told me that everything was OK now and you made it very well. I was told by my parents that you were very very serious at the time, after a couple of years has passed. I felt that Dr Nukaga was a person who saved my life, and deeply appreciated it.
I became one of followers to learn Katori Shintoryu from the master, Mr Otake. There are two hanging scrolls being written "Katori Shrine" and " Kashima Shrine" in Shinbukan Dojo of the master. There is a big hand-writing meaning "Shinbukan " above the scrolls . I was told by the master that the writer was Dr Nukaga. I deeply felt a fate and had a difficulty to stop my tears. I repeated thank you, thank you, so many times in my mind without saying anything. I truely appreciate it because I am now being lived.
