Ume Festival in Kairakuen!
Kairakuen is known as one of three great gardens of Japan where located in Mito, the capital of Ibaraki Prefecture, one hour northeast of Tokyo by limited express train, and it is a large garden with nearly 170 years of history, made by the Lord of Mito Domain during the Edo period.
In every year, the ““Mito Plum Blossom Festival (Mito-no-Ume-Matsuri)” is held from February 20th to March 31st, and many people has gathered to visit for plum blossom viewing on those time.You can also enjoy the illumination at night for about 2 weeks during the festival period
