skimpy costumes

英語カフェでの一節です。
先週、忍者カフェに行ったことを、それを教えてくれたスタッフさんに報告してきました。
S: スタッフさん、A,B: お客さん、K: 私
S: Oh, really? How was the experience?
K: It was good. I have a picture here.
S: Oh, you hold a sword. Very nice.
A: What is the concept of the cafe? Becoming Ninja?
K: No, you can just talk to Ninja girls who are wearing sexy costumes.
S: Yeah, their outfits are very skimpy, very revealing.
K: You can also throw Shuriken like darts.
A: Ah, I understand.
B: When you went to the cafe, how did they welcome you?
K: They welcomed me by saying "Otonosama no Ona〜ri〜". They always use the words like "Gozaru" and "Katajikenai".
B: Hahaha, that's weird. Do they always wear masks?
K: Yeah, but you can ask them to take off the masks ... if you pay some money.
B: Wow, that's a crazy system.
S: There are many other concept cafes in Akihabara like Miko(巫女) cafes, military cafes, and police cafes. I'm curious about all of them.
忍者カフェでは、ござる、かたじけない、がってん、といった時代劇風の言葉が飛び交うのが特徴的でした。
私は記念撮影しかしなかったのですが、手裏剣でダーツをしたり、瓦割りやビジュアルポイ、ライブをしてもらうこともできるようです。
今回新しく覚えた単語は
skimpy
です。
revealing と同様、露出度の高いという意味です。
ただ、revealing にしても、skimpy にしても、聞いて分かればよい単語であり、自分で使うときは sexy で十分でしょう。
まあ、様々なボキャブラリーを使って会話の幅を広げたいときには、使ってみるのもよいかもしれません。
スタッフさんは巫女カフェやミリタリーカフェなど他のコンセプトカフェにも興味があるようでした。
秋葉原にはこのようなコンセプトカフェが無数にあり、全部行ってたらきりがないのですが、行ける範囲で行ってみたいと思います。
