leveraged trading

前回の会話の続きです。スタッフさんに話を振られたので、車は節約してお金を投資に回しているという内容を話しました。
（S：スタッフさん、A：お客さん、K：私）
S: How about you? Do you collect cars?
K: No, I don't. I have only a light weight car. I'm saving money to invest on something.
A: Stocks?
K: Stocks and real estates. This year I lost a lot of money on stocks. So I feel bad this year.
A: What was the major reason for that? Maybe the conflict between North Korea and United States?
K: Yeah, I took too much leverage.
S: You should only use your own money.
A: Leveraged trading is currently very popular.
S: The return is high, but the loss is also high, right?.
K: Yeah. For me, it was not an investment, but it was a gambling.
S: You like gambling?
K: No, I didn't intend to do that. It was a gambling as a result, hahaha.
最初、light weight car で軽自動車と言ったつもりです。ただ、調べたところ軽自動車はそのまま Kei car でよさそうです。そういえば、この間話したフランス人も Kei car と言ってました。まあ、簡単に small car でもよいかもしれません。
株の損失の理由としてレバレッジをかけすぎたと言いましたが、レバレッジをかけるは {use, have, take} a leverage や、普通にleverageを動詞として使ってよいみたいです。標準的には trade with a leverage のようです。
ちなみにレバレッジとは、てこの原理のことで、金融においては借金をして投資することを意味します。FXや先物でおなじみですね。リターンは高くなりますが、損失も大きくなります。レバレッジをかけたトレーディングは非常に中毒性の高いギャンブルになりやすいので気をつけなければいけません。
