『FREEDOM2通信 2021/05/15 与論島から遊びに来てくれました 編』
いやぁ～。もう秋の気配を感じております。
もうプールをかたずけないといけないかな。
そんなFREEDOM2です。
そんな中、5月に与論島からお客さんが来てくれました。
まず、皆さん与論島ってどこにあるか分かりますか？
僕は分からなかったので、すぐにググりました(笑)
『与論島（よろんじま）は、奄美群島のひとつで、鹿児島県最南端の島である。 』
そうなんですよ。鹿児島県なんですよ～。
知らなかった。ってか、もう沖縄ですがね。
この彼女、もともとは東京にお住まいなのですが、島が好きで、与論島に住んでいたそうです。
伊豆の大島にも何年か住んでいたことがあるそうです。
んで、今回は東京に戻る旅路の際に寄ってくれたそうです。
もともと、彼女はFREEDOM2や和倉は知らなかったそうで、たまたま行った和倉温泉総湯で、知らない地元のおばちゃんに、ここら辺も良いから散策してみればと言われて、その時に彼女は予約してくれたそうです。
本当にありがたいです。
結局、彼女は4泊延長されて、和倉でゆっくりと過ごされました。
次の朝、興味があったので、島の話や旅の話をたくさん聞かせていただきました。
与論島は本当に良い所らしく、言うまでもなく海がめっちゃきれいだそうです。
そして、彼女が住んでいたからこそ分かる島のお話を聞かせていただきました。
めっちゃ行きたいですねぇ～。
なんかこうやってガイドブックに載ってないリアルなお話を聞かせてもらうと、私はやっぱりすごく行きたくなります。
そして、話は海外に。
この方も長期で東南アジアを旅されていて、いろんな旅のあるある話などで盛り上がりました。
中でもおもしろいなぁっと思ったのは、彼女がラオスで知らない白人の方と意気投合して、ボートを買って、川を下って、観光客のいかない密林の村で過ごした話はとても楽しかったです。
旅人の数だけ旅がある。
本当にその通りだなぁっと思います。
そして、話は仕事の話に。
なんと、この方、与論島で介護の仕事をしていたらしく
僕も介護を10年程していたので、介護の仕事あるあるでめっちゃ盛り上がりました。
食事介助の仕方や、おむつ交換の回数なんか、どこの介護の現場も同じ不満があるんだなぁっと思いました。
僕が介護やっていたのは10年前なんで、話していてすごく懐かしい気持ちになりました。
この方、凄く頑張り屋で介護福祉士、ケアマネージャー、社会福祉士など、介護の仕事を始めてから、資格を取ったそうで、本当にすごいなぁっと思いました。
こうやって
FREEDOM2に来てくれたことで
旅を通して、その方々の人生の話を聞かせてもらう事って
すごい良い経験だなっと改めて思いました。
今の日本に足らないものが、もしかしたら、ゲストハウスにはあるかもしれませんね。
これからもFREEDOM2らしく
いつでも遊びに来れる素晴らしい場所にしないといけないと
改めて思い、心に刻みました。
本当にコロナの大変な時期だけど
来てくれてありがとうございます。
また、いつかお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。

"FREEDOM2 PRESS 2021/05/15 came to visit from Yoron Island"

This girlfriend, she originally lived in Tokyo, but she likes the island and she lived in Yoron Island.
She has also lived in Oshima, Izu for several years.
She said she stopped by on her journey back to Tokyo this time.
Originally, she didn't know about FREEDOM 2 and Wakura, so she happened to go to Wakura Onsen Soyu, and a local aunt who didn't know told her to take a walk around here, so she made a reservation at that time.
I really appreciate it.
After all, she was extended for four nights and spent a leisurely time in Wakura.
The next morning she was interested, so she told me a lot about the island and her travels.
Yoron Island seems to be a really good place, and it goes without saying that the sea is very beautiful.
And I told you the story of the island that you can understand only because she lived.
I really want to go ~.
When I hear a real story that isn't in the guidebook like this, I really want to go.
And talk abroad.
This person has also traveled to Southeast Asia for a long time, and was excited by stories about various trips.
The most interesting thing was that she hit it off with a white man she didn't know in Laos, bought a boat, went down the river, and spent a lot of time in a jungle village with no tourists. It is.
There are as many trips as there are travelers.
I think that's really true.
And the story is about work.
It seems that this person was working as a long-term care worker on Yoron Island.
I had been nursing for about 10 years, so it was really exciting to have a nursing job.
I thought that every nursing care site had the same dissatisfaction with how to assist with meals and the number of diaper changes.
I was nursing care for 10 years ago, so I felt very nostalgic when I talked to him.
It seems that this person got a qualification after starting a nursing care job such as a certified care worker, a care manager, a social worker, etc. at a very hard worker, and I thought it was really amazing.

I thought again that it was a great experience.
Perhaps there is something in the guesthouse that is lacking in Japan today.
