六本木ヒルズ アート&デザインストア内のA/Dギャラリーにて行われた若手陶芸家 青木良太展に行ってきた。
彼の作品と言えば、釉薬を徹底的に研究した、きめ細やかな手触りが特徴。
伝統や古いイメージのある陶芸ではあるが、彼の作品はまさに現代アートを思わせるものばかり。
今回の作品のテーマは『惑星』
火山の噴火やマグマが流れ出している状態をイメージしているそう。
今までの作品とはガラッと変わり、力強いダイナミックな作品ばかり。
見入ってしまうほどの深みのある色味には金、銀など陶磁器では使わない素材を使用し、本当に美しいグラデーションを生み出している。
私のような習い事程度で陶芸をしている素人にとっても、見終えた後は創作意欲がふつふつと湧いてくるような、インスピレーション溢れる展示会で久々に心が躍った。
最近では、ファッションブランドとコラボしたりと幅広く活躍中の陶芸家・青木良太氏、是非興味があれば足を運んで頂きたい！

I recently went to the exhibition held by the young potter, Ryota Aoki where it takes place in A/D gallery in Roppongi Hills.
His works are famous for its delicate and smooth texture using well-researched glaze.
Although a ceramic art has an old and traditional image in general, his works are reminiscent of contemporary art.
‘The planet’ is the theme this time, and all works are inspired from volcanic eruption and the state of magma flowing out.
Compared to his past works, his works at this exhibition are more dynamic and powerful.
By his novel idea of using uncommon materials in ceramics such as gold and silver, has created beautiful gradation of rich color.
Even to me as a beginner in ceramic art, his inspiring exhibition made me very excited.
Mr. Aoki has been remarkably active in not only ceramic art but also in fashion collaboration recently, so please visit his exhibition in this chance if you are interested.
