There’s a good chance the name Robert Indiana doesn’t ring a bell, but we’re certain you’re familiar with his work. His famous LOVE design, original created as a Christmas card, has been recreated as sculptures around the globe. Now the design hits footwear, as Converse lays it upon Chuck lows. Available now in white/black or blue/red, this all-over print on canvas just might becomes a timeless classic. We’ll see if any more LOVE motif Chucks come out in the near future.
A new duo of Converse Poorman’s Weapon sneakers just released, but don’t forget about where they came from. It was exactly a year ago today that the original black nylon design released in collaboration with UNDEFEATED, and looks like Eddie Cruz and company are ready for round three. Coming up on Friday, January 29th a new navy blue UNDFTD x Converse Poorman Weapon will release with all the trimmings: bomber jacket nylon upper, velcro logos and flight helmet bags, and will release alongside matching MA-1 Flight Jackets. We saw a little of this from Nike SB too, but its clear that Converse Skateboarding is nike free v3 getting back to basics. With their upcoming collection for Fall/Winter 2010, they have some simple two and three-coloured kicks on the way. The black, white and red midtops pictured have the Y-shaped ankle lockdown that typifies the Weapon series, but it’s slightly different, and integrated into a traditional skate-style side panel. There’s cheap shoes on sale also a white and blue midtop that is, itself, slightly different than both. A lowtop pair in grey, white and black is probably the cut-off version of the first model, so stick with Sneaker News and we’ll update you once they get a cheap nikes shoes for sale proper name. via HS
