2024年8月22日（木）放送「あさこ・佳代子の大人なラジオ☆真夏のスペシャル2024」で「ラジオ英会話★出張講座」がありましたね！
（放送後１週間は「らじる★らじる」でいつでも聞けます）
番組には、スペシャルゲストとして、大西先生、Davidさん、そしてRozaさんがご出演🎊
そういうわけで、この記事では、先生方３人が登場された場面の中から、その一部を（好き勝手に選んで）書き起こしたものです
さて、最初に先生方が登場される場面です
いとうあさこさんからの紹介を受けて：
大西先生：こんにちは。大西泰斗です。今日もよろしくお願いいたします。
Davidさん：Hi, everyone! I'm David Evans. I'm so happy to be here. Let's have fun!
Rozaさん：Hey, everyone. This is Akino Roza. すーごく楽しみにしてます。

佳代子さん：確かに3人ともパワーありますよね。何かなんとなく。これがどうまじわるんだろうって私は今ワクワクドキドキ冷や冷やしてますけど。
大西先生：いや、でもお顔を拝見すると、好ましいパワーではないようにお感じになってらっしゃいますよね？
佳代子さん：私ですか？今。
大西先生：はい。
佳代子さん：まぁ先生のパワーはどっちかって言ったら苦手パワーなかな。
あさこさん：強すぎて。
佳代子さん：強め。
あさこさん：だいぶ強いからね。
佳代子さん：筋肉と英語でね、今ね、きてますんでね。
大西先生：すいません。
佳代子さん：で、どうでした？あさこさんの英会話ぶりは。
大西先生：いやーすばらしかったですよ。えっとお悩み相談だったんですけども、まぁあさこさんのですねぇ、顔の表情力ですかね。顔を作る力。これがですね、英語力の１００万倍ぐらいあってですね。それだけでもう英語ができなくっても、えー、世界中行けてしまうみたいな、私はどうしたらいいんですかみたいなお悩みでしたね？

大西先生：そう。結局、コミュニケーション力っていうのは、言葉も大きいですけれども、そのあとも大きいんですよね。ですから、あさこさんその他が１００万点で、英語力が５０点だったら、100万50点ということですね。
佳代子さん：十分ですね、じゃあね。
大西先生：はい、もう十分です。

～説明ルール～
O：いやー、最近あついですねぇ。
D：Yeah, it's so hot I'm melting.
R：Well, we're gonna have a hot and exciting lesson today.
O：あー、いやいやいやいやいや、僕の言ってるのはね、そういう「あつさ」じゃなくて。「今は英会話がアツイ！ハッ！」というメッセージですね。『ラジオ英会話ハートでつかめ！英語の極意』講師の大西泰斗です。さぁ、それでは頑張っていきましょ。
R：Lesson 「ラジオ英会話 特別レッスン回」
【レッスンのポイント】
英語学習は進化しています。日本人が英語を話せない大きな理由は、英語と日本語は語順が異なるから。「説明ルール」を覚えるだけで乗り越えることができますよ。
【 Dialogue 】
友人とアメリカを訪れている旅行者が、地元のバーにお酒を飲みにやってきました。スタッフと相談しながら飲み物を注文するのも英語の勉強になりますね(^_^)
Server: Hi there. What can I get for you?
Tourist: We can't decide. Can you recommend something?
S: Sure! What are you in the mood for?
T: Cocktails. What's popular? We'd like something that isn't too sweet.
S: Espresso martinis are really popular right now. I think that you'll like them.
T: Ooh, OK. Can we get two of those?
S: Coming right up. Anything else?
T: No, thanks. Do you take credit cards?
S: Of course, yes. Do you want to leave your tab open?
T: What do you mean?
S: You can pay now, or when you leave.
T: Oh, I see. Leave it open, please.
Lesson Notes
What can I get for you?
（何になさいますか？）
➫ get は「動き」を表す動詞
「何をあなたのために取って来ましょうか？」という表現になっている
Can you recommend something?
（何かおすすめのものはありますか？）
➫ recommend：～を推薦する、薦める
Sure!
（もちろんですよ！）
➫もちろん Yes でもいいが、勢いのある Sure を使っている
「英語らしいですねぇ」と大西先生
We'd like something that isn't too sweet.
➫ would like というフレーズは「欲しい」want の大人表現
「ちょっと引いた上品な表現ですね」（大西先生）

（すぐにご用意しますね）
coming right up：「すぐにくる」から「すぐにお持ちします」の意味に
Anything else?
anything は「どれでも」「なんでも」という単語
全体で「どれでもいいですよ、何でもいいですよ、他にはありますでしょうか？」という疑問文になっている
Do you take credit cards?
（クレジットカードは使えますか？）
➫「使える」という表現で take
「手に取る、受け入れる」という動詞
Do you want to leave your tab open?
（お勘定はあとにされますか？）
tab：勘定書き
What do you mean?
（どういう意味でしょう？）
相手の真意を尋ねる聞き返し
Grammar and Vocabulary
◉ wh 疑問文は空所が大切
What are you in the mood for □?
（あなたは、何が食べたい気分でしょうか？）
◉目的語説明型
Leave it open, please.
（それは開けたままにしてください→あとでお願いします）
it は「勘定書き」のこと。それを「開いたままにしておく」ことから、「後払い」の意味で使われている

➫この文は、主語の思考・知識・発言などを「リポートする」形の重要構文（「リポート文」）
➫「説明ルール：説明は後ろに置く」により、この配置で think の説明が後続の節だと了解される
Practice
（リピート練習のときに）
大西先生：違うんだな。それはすごーく違うの。I think と言ったときにネイティブはね、think の後ろに「その think の内容を説明したーい」っていう気持ちになってるの。
ただ単に think って言うだけじゃなくて、think っていうところを「説明したーい！」「説明したーい！」って。
その気持ちに乗って that you'll like them という後ろに説明が落ちる。それがこの文の形なんですね。
D: OK, everyone, it's time for today's practice. Today we'll focus on the 説明rule. We'll have the object...uh...目的語, plus our 説明. So let's practice that together, OK?
あ＆佳：OK.
R: But remember, we don't need to think about it too hard. First we go into the 動詞, and then we explain. Like I think (なんとかなんだ). Are you ready to practice?

（１文目。ろーざさんは、途中で I know you were drinking. とも言っていた気がします）
２ このことについて話し合う人が誰かいますか？

３ 私は、あなたがうそをついているような気がします。私に本当のことを言いなさい。
I have a feeling that you're lying. Tell me the truth.
大西先生：さあ、ここの練習の仕方ですが、初見ですぐに答えられる人は、おそらくあまりいらっしゃらないと思うんですね。このサンプルの解答をしっかりと眺めたあとは、「こんなふうに言えばいいんだ」といって頭の中に入れていただければ、次回、同じ状況にあったときにすぐに口から出るようになるので、しっかりと「あとの練習」が肝心です。
