I took a car trip to Yamaguchi Prefecture this time. Can you guess how many hours it took by car? A whopping 15 hours! My back was really hurting. But the trip was worth it. I went to a place called Hagi City, and since the limestone cave there is famous, I visited a place called Akiyoshido Cave. Places like this are dark and long, and definitely not meant for exploring alone. After going, I realized it's a bit scary. Travelling alone can be quite nerve-wracking. But, I looked it up later, and let me explain. Akiyoshido Cave is designated as a Special Natural Monument of Japan. This cave is believed to have been formed about 3 million years ago, and the distance extends to as much as 1,000 meters. That's one kilometer! No wonder it felt lonely. Quite a long way, indeed. The inside was really beautiful. The temperature inside remains cool throughout the year. So, that was nice. It was cool inside, especially since I remember it was a hot season outside.

今回は山口県への車の旅です。車で何時間かかったと思いますか? なんと15時間! 腰がとっても痛かったです。でも、行った甲斐がありました。萩市というところに行ったんですけども、鍾乳洞がすごく有名だということで、秋芳洞というところに入りました。やっぱりこういうところって暗いし、長いし、一人で入るもんじゃないですね。行ってみて思ったんですけども、 ちょっと怖いんですよ。これもね。一人旅っていろいろ震えます。でもね、一応後になって調べたんですけども、説明しますね。この秋芳洞は国の特別天然記念物に指定されています。この洞窟は約300万年前に形成されたとされて、その距離は約1000メートルにも及びます。1キロですよね。そりゃ寂しかったわけですね。ロングウェイですね。で、中は本当に綺麗でした。で、温度は一年を通して涼しいんですね。だからこれは良かったですね。涼しくって。確か外は暑かった季節だったと言う記憶がありますから。
