【英語】
Another thing about Hokkaido is the delicious ramen and the big zoo and many other attractions. But what I remember the most is the vastness of the roads. It’s enormous. Driving through Hokkaido felt entirely different from Honshu. Roads stretch straight from one traffic light to another, and sometimes you can’t even tell if the light is red or green until you get closer. It was an experience, somewhat scary in a way. I just remember the long and wide roads. That’s my strongest impression of Hokkaido.
Also, there were places with remaining snow when I visited in May. As I camped in my car, I always looked for roadside stations. But there aren’t many along the roads. That’s why you need to search in advance because there might not be places to stay overnight during a car camping trip. I had to look for places near the sea, in the mountains, or slightly off the beaten path. It was a bit scary, but I found a relatively safe place to stay. It was cold. That’s how my trip to Hokkaido was.

もう一つは北海道といえば、ラーメンが美味しいとかね、動物園大きいのあるとか色々あるんですけども、私の一番覚えているのは、やっぱりずっと車を運転してましたので、すごく北海道はでっかい道ということです。でかいのよ、とにかく！やっぱ本州とは違う感覚がありましたね。信号から信号がまっすぐ伸びてて、もう信号が赤なのか青なのか見えないんですよ。そんな経験あります?あれねある意味怖かったです。近づかないとわからないんですからね。ひたすら長くて広い道路でした 。これが私の一番の北海道の覚えていることですね。印象ですね。
そして、ちょっと雪が残っているところもあったんですね。5月だったのかな。そんなところもあればないところもあったんだけれども、私車中泊だったので道の駅をいつも探すんですね。だけど道の駅が道の道沿いにあまりない。あまりないんですよこれが。だから、あらかじめ探さないと、車中泊の旅なんで、ちょっと泊まるとこがないわけなんですね。で探してちょっと海沿いだとか山の中とか、ちょっと外れたところにあるのですごく怖かったんですけども、その中でもちょっと安全そうなとこを探して泊まりました。寒かったとかね。はいそんなわけで私の北海道の旅でした。
