It is no news that the rate of marriage breakup is on the rise. Many different theories have been given regarding the cause of this occurrence. Have you ever considered that these statistics are developed from what has happened to others? It does not mean that is what should happen to yours. You can make yours different.

It is almost like they want to find out how the other individual is better than they are. It is now that lot's of people lose confidence in themselves. If this self confidence isn't restored, you wouldn't be able to forgive your spouse and your marriage won't be restored.
How can your confidence be rebuilt so you can forgive your partner and begin the rebuilding process?
Before starting anything, you have to ask yourself if you want the marriage restored. You would not make any headway unless your mind is set on restoring your marriage.
The process now actually starts with you trying to find out the root cause of the affair. A lot of times, when a partner doesn't get the attention they need from home, they look for it outside. You may find out that your spouse only responded to a desire you weren't around to meet.
Finding out that you have the capacity and endowment to keep your spouse truly satisfied can be a confidence booster. Please, I must state here that no reason makes infidelity right. The aim of the search is to lead to the healing of your marriage.
At this point, you may have discovered things you could have handled differently. Don't beat yourself over the head. Forgive yourself. It's only possible to forgive your spouse when you have forgiven yourself. It's after all these, that you can then commence trying to restore trust.
Actually, it's easier talked about than practiced. However, note that your marriage can grow to much higher levels even following an affair. The issue is; are you worried about saving your marriage?
