Dear xxx xxx,
Welcome to IBIC2018!
The 7th International Beam Instrumentation Conference (IBIC2018), will be held in Shanghai from September 9 to September 13 2018. The venue will be the Parkyard Hotel, Shanghai.

The conference website is now on line at:
https://indico.sinap.ac.cn/e/ibic2018
Delegate registration is now open through the IBIC2018 site, and abstract submission is now open to authors via the JACoW webserver:
https://spms.kek.jp/pls/ibic18/profile.html
Please note the deadlines for delegate registration and abstract submission shown in the `Important Dates? page at the conference webpage.
Like its predecessors, this conference is also dedicated to exploring the physics and engineering challenges of beam diagnostics and measurement techniques for charged particle beams. The conference program will include tutorials on selected topics, invited and selected talks, as well as poster sessions. During the conference, a tour to the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) and the Shanghai X-Ray Free-Electron Laser (SXFEL) Facility will also be included.
IBIC 2018 is hosted by the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics (SINAP), which is the photon science center of China, operating two large scale facilities: SSRF and SXFEL. SSRF is the first 3rd generation synchrotron light source in China, providing more than 5,000 hours of beam time per year. Meanwhile, SSRF is available for the academic and the industrial sector, serving more than 2,000 researchers and 32 research units every year. SXFEL is the first X-Ray free-electron laser user facility in China which is opening to user in 2018. At IBIC 2018, you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with accelerator scientists, engineers, students, and vendors while experiencing Shanghai the biggest city in China.
Shanghai literally means the city by the sea. Shanghai is situated at 31? 14' north latitude and 121? 29'east longitude, on the west shore of the Pacific Ocean. It is right in the middle of China's east coastline, Shanghai is an excellent sea and river port, boasting easy access to the vast hinterland.
Enjoy!
