お彼岸に一心寺さんへ。
ジャズピアノのレッスンに行く前に
天王寺まで足を伸ばして。
行こう行こうと思いながら
行けてなかった。
偶然、朝の歩いて絶景を訪ねる番組で
この近辺が映っていて
これは行けということだと解釈。
四ツ橋のレッスン時間に
間に合うように計算して
早めに練習してスタート
ちょうど両親が亡くなる前後
仕事で通っていた天王寺。
母が一心寺さんにと話しだけ聞いていたけど
一緒に行ったことはなかった。
不思議なご縁。
母は年齢的に先に行くであろう父のことを
考えてのことだったろうに
自分方が先に旅立つとは
思っていなかっただろう。
あべのハルカスからテンシバ公演を通って
大阪市美術館前、動物園を通り
通天閣を眺めて茶臼山の横を通って
一心寺さんの裏門南門から。
いつものお気に入りのルート。
来年の春頃かな。
骨仏として開眼されるのは。
同じ仏様の中で喧嘩していなければいいけど。
また来るね。

I went to Isshin-ji Temple during the Equinox.
Before heading to my jazz piano lesson,
I made a detour to Tennoji.
I’d been meaning to go for ages,
but hadn’t managed to make it.
By chance, a morning TV show about exploring scenic spots
featured this area,
so I took it as a sign that I should go.
I timed it so I’d make it to my lesson in Yotsubashi,
practiced a bit early, and set off.
Tennoji was a place I used to visit for work
right around the time my parents passed away.
My mother had mentioned Isshin-ji Temple to me,
but we never actually went together.
What a strange twist of fate.
My mother must have been thinking of my father,
who, given his age, would likely go first,
but she probably never imagined
that we would be the ones to leave first.
From Abeno Harukas, through the Tenshiba performance area,
past the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts and the zoo,
gazing at Tsutenkaku and passing by the side of Chausuyama,
then through the south gate at the back of Isshin-ji Temple.
My usual favorite route.
Probably around next spring.
That’s when it will be consecrated as a bone Buddha.
I just hope they aren’t fighting with each other inside the same Buddha statue.
I’ll come back again.
