JAZZでもクリスマス・アルバムが出ています。
このアルバムはちょっとばかり不思議。
オリジナルは1962年に米コロンビアから出ました。
その時の曲が下記です。

またここではオリジナルが1969年となっていますが、
その頃にWynton Marsalisがこんな演奏を出来るとは思えないので、
実際にはあまり信用をしない方が良いのかもしれません。
因みにAmazon.comはAmazon.co.jpと同じです。
どうやら曲順は違いますが
オリジナルと同曲に戻したと言う事でしょう。
しかしオリジナル重視ならジャケもこんなにダサいものにせず、
曲順もオリジナル通りにすべきだと思います。
ただ長く楽しまれているアルバムで、
何度かのリメイクも途中で有ったようなので、
それぞれの時代での変化も仕方ない事だと思います。
まぁ折角CD時代で大容量なんですし
新たな素晴らしい演奏も含めて欲しかったです。
内容曲について書き続けましたが、
それは全ての演奏がクリスマス特集という事を抜いても
聴くに耐えうる素晴らしいものだからなんです。
Jazzを聴かない人でも十二分に楽しめる内容です。
こんなクリスマス・アルバムを一枚くらい持っていると
クリスマスが普段よりもほんの少し楽しくなるかも知れません。
