While I'm waiting to board the train this arvo to Liverpool, I'll post up the latest dinner at a Michelin star restaurant we had with friends from oz.
Their main specialty is fusion Chinese dumplings, but they also serve Chinese food.
This is what we had...
The usual stuff, prawn rice rolls and dumplings
Something new to me, venison puff
vegetarian taro
sticky rice
almond and cuttlefish
Dry stir fried beef noodles
siew mai and fried sticky rice ball
The verdict: the food tastes good, however if u are Asian, it's not really that 'wow ' in terms of flavours. I've had the same or even better at other Chinese restaurants in HK and.back home in Australia. On top of this, all tye dishes were double the price to what it is in chinatown ! The texture of the last dish the fried sticky dumpling wasn't even sticky, it like some pumpkin or sweet potato wrapping. Glad I've tried it now since it seems to be quite popular in London. Would I go back.. no.
On the other hand their cakes for dessert was very good... To be posted next... ☆-( ^-゚)v
