No snow in oz.. its a typical warm aussie summer day.....
Got home early from work.... about 4:30pm and i started cooking the family x'mas even dinner... ![]()
Since the cheese cake needed to be cooled for a few hrs before eating i made this first... so it was a toblerone cheese cake, i kinda changed bits of it from the recipe... hehe
the base had to be set... so crushed oreo, almonds and melted butter
patted down flat and straight into the fridge
mixed the philly cheese with the mixer
mixed the melted choco and the cream
poured the mixture into the tin
next was the main dish.... lamb... fried it on the hot plate
then placed onto a baking tray
then poured the sweet miso sauce i made already.. then was ready to be grilled and served when my sis came home from work
side of mash potato was made as well.... by the way its not that much butter as it seems... thin slice from the cube
entree was the scallop risotto
took the raw scallops off the shells and chopped it into smaller cubes and pan fried to remove the juices
fried the smoked bacon, in the pan and then the already boiled rice and cream into the pan, the added the scallops quickly by not over cooking them... also added salt/pepper too
then scooped them into the shells (which were washed and dried by then)
its ready when the cheese has melted... made this recipe up by the way.... i had something like this in a restaurant once and was hoping this would taste the same... haha
the lamb cutlet served with salad and the mash potato
the toblerone cheese cake ready for dessert
felt so unorganised when i was cooking it up... the time pressure for the food to be hot when everyone was home and to be ready to be eaten at the sametime and plated up.... multi tasking in the kitchen is hard, something i'm not great at... :P
need to keep practising.... practice makes perfect right??
i guess i have a few days off so might attempt another dish or two...
Happy Chrismas Eve ('-^*)/
