It was random and last minute, but met up with a friend for dinner. We both haven't been here before, so went to try this place out in Circular Quay, just under the overseas passenger terminal for cruise ships.
Their main specialty is the churrasco, which grilled meat, made mostly popular by Brazillians. This is the first time i've tried this kind of cuisine and its surely very meaty. I was unable to take the pictures of the huge skewers they brought to your table with the different type of meats, but i'm telling you the amount of meat can easily feed a family for a week!
like all western meals.. the bread is always served in the beginning,... this one was sour dough, though it was brown coloured and soft in texture, unlike the usual ones which is white and dry
tapas, olives, raw tuna salad, omelette, rockmelon with prosciutto, spicy parmasean croquette, stuffed grilled capsicum
sauces for the meats, garlic, some combination of herbs, capsicum/tomato
seafood curry, had a thai flavour to it
lamb cutlets were brought to us on a separate dish, then the skewered meats were served at our table... prawns first
chicken thigh and chicken and chorizo sausages
there were also skewered beef, pork an chicken drummets, a different cut of lamb and pinapple with cinnamon sugar... tried a bit of each
with a girlie chat about work, what we have been up to and future holiday plans for next year, time flew by so quickly....
of course saved room for dessert, blueberry souffle with custard ice cream and blueberry crumble
Overall, it was a very nice experience, waiters were friendly and professional. The view was lovely as it was sunset by the harbour looking across to the Opera House.
i think i've eaten enough meat for the week.... i'll detox on veges tomorrow....
