The time flew today.

Started off with taking 1.5hrs to get to work... usually its an hr drive, but today there was a car that broke down on the right lane so all the cars had to merge to the left in order to turn right, which is all the way at the top.

This explains the reason why the line was so long to the next traffic light ビックリマーク

I was so desperate to get in early this morning as i had an urgent report and letter to be completed by the early morning. I had stayed up till 12 midnight trying to write this report in detail without being too opinionated. So traffic jams isn't something i really wanted to be in this morning.

When i got in, had all these things i had to so for this site as i'm going back next week and emails that had to be responded to. After sorting that out, i was back hammering away on that report.

Had to also postpone lunch with a colleague coz i had to get it reviewed before sending.

It was such a relief when that bit a finalised.

Also had tons of back log of emails to read and admin which had to be done in the office... by the time it was done, i had left work at 9pm!

I still have work left over so i guess i can do it on the weekend as it can be done remotely.

It's getting a bit sad that work is eating me up lately. I've really got to change this. My colleague who sits across is younger than me and was warning me about not meeting people and working long hours as i should be going out meeting people rather than working overtime. One of my sites also reminded me to have some "me" time on the weekends. To me working hard at certain times is a blessing in disguise. If you slack off, it will only be time when something bad catches up with you and it will be too late to fix. Guess i worry about making mistakes and like to be on top of things. I don't like that feeling of being unorganised and clueless when i'm at site.

By the way, i got something interesting in the mail.

Apparentely is has this intelligent chip and it identifies your luggage with your flight as you can check in by yourself now, no need to go to the counter to drop your bag, you can do it yourself. Far out, they are cutting jobs back here too......

i'll see if i can try it out next week as i'll be going to tassie again.
