One of the major highlights from this trip to China was that the world expo happened to be in Shanghai at this time, so spend sometime to check it out during it last week.
I'm going to separate this up a bit as there are so many photos i want to post and share.
I will start of with Australian pavilion first as this is where i live
inside... this is the walkway where it looks like tubes above
history.. captain cook landed in 1788
a wave... the majority of the population lives by the coast
this the theatre where they played the short movie which is an advertising campaign for Australia
three screens rose from the ground and cirulated playing the movie on both sides of the screen with english subtitles, audio was in chinese
the thing in the middle changes, this was the opera house
the 3 children whom telling the story in the movie
the Aust pavilion at night... this is supposed to resemble Ayers Rock (Uluru) in Alice Springs.
I almost forgot to mention, since we had an aussie passport, we didn't need to line up like everyone else and was able to jump the queue, hence able to see inside. Otherwise, we would probably needed to wait over an hr to get inside!... and this isn't considered long, you will see later.
and here is NZ... very green, just like the real thing
