for some reason my wireless at home doesn't seem to be working so have to type my entries... i had them saved on my itouch, so....
was fortunate enough that i was able to meet up with a colleague whom i had travelled to Beijing last week for the meeting and happened to be stopping by un Shanghai as well with his wife.
during the day, we headed off to the expo, it was the last week for the event, therefore considered to be a peak entry
i'll do a separate entry for the expo as i had used my camera, though here is a glimpse of one of the stands within in the Chinese pavilion
after many hours of walking from day till dark, it was definitely time for dinner at Xin Tian Di
ordered these dishes amongst the 3 of us
duck tongue
jellyfish with cabbage
xiao long bao
cucumber marinated with vinegar and chilli
sen chien bao... these are juicy with the broth from the pork filling
shanghai hairy crabs with glutinous rice cakes.. the balck bits on the nippers is the hair

tofu with crab eggs, best eaten with a dash of chinese vinegar
durian puffs
