It was raining non stop today... i don't think it even stopped for a second... never seen so much rain like this before.
Even back home in Sydney, when it rains there are moments when it pauses and then restarts.
first day here, i met up with a friend and she took me to Yu Garden

the weather was so bad that i couldn't take pictures with my phone separately, so these are pics off my camera screen taken by my phone, therefore not as clear as i wish it to be.
there was a man drawing traditional chinese paintings with his hand.. amazing
hand painted inner bottles, and again, there was a demonstration at the seller stand..incredible
the garden, there is koi fish in the waters
as you can see, they sell a chinee handicrafts and souvenirs here
after a lot of walking around even to a dodgy warehouse selling imitation luxury goods- they had whatever brands you can think of... basically there was a guy on the streets discretly going up to you showing you pictures of LV bags etc, if you are interested they take to this creepy ally way and up these shocking staircase and there were all these fake bags, wallets and other designer goods. I've never had the guts to go and follow these people to their "shop", but since i was with a local this time we went for the fun of it. Surprisingly, it was busy with people inside this little room....
of course i didn't buy anything, but it was interesting to see the quality of the items, they looked really real, i've seen worst in Shenzhenm HK and Thailand
for lunch we had local Shanghainese food in a food court.... thankgoodness it wasn't congested... was so sick of being pushed around all morning in the rain
look at all those xiao long bao 小籠包
