flight from sg to indo served bangers and mash...
the line at immigration in Jakarta was ridiculous
checked in to the hotel... stayed at the nikko hotel in jakarta... really great place to stay... rooms were so clean and comfy
first indo meal at the hotel was nasi goreng.. aka fried rice
and soto ayam (chicken) .. has noodles in the soup and there is rice as well... doubling the carbs

were were driving to Bandung which is about 2-3 hrs away from Jakarta.. our aunt bought us many local cakes

view on the way there... temperature is cooler in Bandung so the scenery gets gradually greener
arrived in Bandung... to see relatives...
lunchtime.. was nasi campur.. mixed rice... has egg, satay, fish ball, char siew (chinese bbq pork), soya pork, ox toungue, pig ears and cucumber... pretty much a whole lotta meat!
after meeting all the relos one of our aunts who live in the area took us for local snacks...
a place where you can buy from the stores and eat out in the open.. so nice!
forgive me.. i forgot what they are called so i'll explain in english what they taste like... pandan flavoured pancakes with coconut/plam sugar soup... this is so yummy
siew mai.. chinese dumplings...and chili sauce.. everything in this country comes with chili if it doesn't already taste like it... hahaha.... warning: not for the weak spicy eaters!

fried banana... this country has tons of banana varieties... they only fry a certain kind

not any old fried tofu.. has a vege filling
fermented cassava... has an aquired taste.. not everyone would like this.. i'm not much of a fan, but its very indonesian... has an alcoholic taste
ate till the sky became darker.. gets dark at 7-8pm ish
then drove by to a cake shop.. famous for brownies
got these kue lapis ...layer cakes .... they were yummy.. i can't seem to get enough of them
then drove up to the mountains to these cafes.. you can see the whole town when you look down

with the amount of food i had eaten all day not to mention the ones i ate at during visiting relos... i had eaten way over my limit... i ordered a lychee float
my sis had a hot choco
my relos wanted me to order something to eat.... so i tired the durian and unfortunately has that fermented cassava thing... i like durian but not that cassava stuff... still pleasant to eat
