I've gotta mention this from today's qantas flight to Brisbane. When i boarded, there was a guy steward who was scanning my ticket....
as usual, i would expect: "Welcome, Miss xxxx" or "Good Morning Miss xxxx"
but today, i thought i heard good morning in chinese.. and i was right.. the next thing he said was "慢慢走"... 
吃驚しました！
Later on when breakfast was served, i decline the offer from another air hostess who was serving me... he happened to be on the other end of the trolley and the said to me "你要吃早餐吗？"
I was shocked... his chinese was good, and there was more,...
then the hot drinks were served.. he even asked "你要喝咖啡吗"?
actually i rather have tea as i don't think coffee.. i should have said “其實我 想喝茶”... but still... omg... didn't expect a western looking fellow to speak such well pronounced mandarin!
as i got off the plane he also said “謝謝 "and I replied likewise in chinese as well
wow... i'm totally speechless....
