went to the chinese herbalist today... i've been going for a year now....
at first i was skeptical about going there curing my blemishes on my face... believe it or not, drinking the black and bitter concoctions does work.
not only did it brighten my skin, my well being became better.
i could feel much more energised than in the last few years, i can concentrate better and be focused and i don't get sick as much as i used to... i don't need caffeinated drinks to keep me awake and going thru the day... water is fine and herb teas ![]()
in the past few years after i finished uni, i kept getting the cold and wasn't feeling 100% like i used to in high school, now i can say that i just feel happier, although i had a rough year last year which i'm not going to write about now.
I can go out now with out foundation on the weekends, its such a personal improvement for me..
next time i go on a beach holiday, i can walk around feeling more confident too about my skin...
i have come to realise more that your health is really important, it come first then family. If you can look after yourself then you can look after those around you. You make them more worried instead.
the doctor was very pleased this time, she used to question me whether i was listening to her advice during the consulations...
it was tough, i was advised not to drink red/black teas, cut out the spicy and chilli meals, no lamb or crustacean seafood ( that was bye bye lobster and prawns and squid- the chinese believe they are toxic), of course i wasn't to eat raw fish (that doesn't worry me coz i don't really like raw stuff), also had to cut the beef intake, therefore no more steaks.
I used to eat so much of that stuff in the last 3 yrs, coz i was also dating at that time... now that i'm single again, i easily cut out all the above.... guess it work out better for me... blessing in disguise...
i went shopping after with my mum and bought a top as a reward for myself reaching one of my goals this year... i do hope my face remains like this or even better ![]()
and yummy choux pastry with vanilla cream....
time for dinner now... having indonesian food- beef rendang... bringing the spice back to my life slowly
