この間、アメリカの作家さんを1日アテンドするという機会に恵まれました。
いつも過去の傷ついた経験のことをどう解釈していいかということを
書いていましたが、今回は、彼女から聞いた別のアプローチ法。
Looking back to our past experiences is needed sometimes when we take further step in our life.
However, it might be dicey to keep thinking deep and makes us feel so much dipression.
"Past" is like forever. It is like a bottomless swamp.
Here is a different approach: just focusing on what we are now "Presence".
Are we facing any denger for real now?
Are we dead now?
Are we losing job and family, and being left alone?
Mostly, not.
Then, the better way to take care ourselves is not thinking and worrying too much about what is not happiening.
But we should focus on what we have in front of us.
It could be a moment when you drink warm coffee, working at the office where no harmful things around you, or exploring your thoughts by writing a blog.
No harmful things around you.
So, don't we just focus at this peaceful presence?
If we have to make a big decision, the old memories and traumas come back you our mind. It happens all the time.
But before we sink these memories to the bright future, think about your ideal future.
After 10 years from now, how do you want to live?
What kind of house you want to live, what kind of clothings you are wearing. What do you do for living? Who are around you? How are they?
Just imagine them for just 10 seconds.
Picture them as much as possible using 5 senses.
Then, come back to now, and let you in that imagine; future you, make the decisions.
If you, who is 10 years from now, make decision, what would be like?
With this way, you capture your ideal future.
