Walk through Urayasu, the stage of "Aobeka Story"

"A canal connecting the Nedo River in the west and the sea in the east ran through this town. Along the steam river() bank() and this moat(), fishing boat houses were lined up, western restaurants, gokkakuya, branch offices of local banks, etc. Post office, police station, fire station, and town hall......" We walked through Urayasu, a forme()r fishing town written in "Aobeka Story". The Nedo River is the Edo River, and the canal is the Sakai River.

February is still cold. Check the number of people at Urayasu Station on the Tozai Line. A large number of 59 people. Divide into two groups and depart(). Walk on the embankment(堤防) at the end of the old Edogawa River. There is a signboard of the ferry site. From the Meiji era until the opening of the Urayasu Bridge in 1940, there was a waiting area for ships going to Tokyo.

Walk east along the Sakai River, which separates from the former Edogawa River. The west water gate at the junction is also a famous spot for cherry blossoms. Flower Street used to be the main shopping street of the fisherman town until the 1960s. Udagawa House, a former merchant house. The Otsuka House is a large house built in the late Edo period, and the Western-style Hamano Hospital has been preserved.

Asada Senbei Honpo is a rice cracker shop founded in Meiji 21. The dough(生地) is dried in the sun and has an old-fashioned taste. It's hard and it seems that you can't eat it unless your teeth are strong. But half of the participants seem to have bought it.

The splendid(素晴らしい) city hall on the 10th floor comes into view. Urayasu, where Disneyland is located, has one of the highest financial strengths in Japan thanks to stable tax revenues(収入).I understand that the building is beautiful. The Urayasu Folk Museum reproduces the town and life in the 1940s, when it was a lively fisherman's town. Take a group photo here and disband. They each had lunch at the cafeteria on the 10th floor of the city hall. Tuesday, February 14th
