平代坂遺跡
「小金井市前原町3丁目では開発工事に伴って令和4年2月から発掘調査を実施しています。平代坂遺跡では、現在、鎌倉から戦国時代までの中世の遺構・遺物（溝や大型土坑、陶器・板碑など） が発見されています。」と市から見学説明会の案内がきた。３月26日、早速参加した。老若男女、小学生までたくさんの人が集まっていた。多摩科学技術高校の南に平代坂があり、梶家という旧家がある。そこで開発工事が行われている。敷地は小学校ほどの広さだ。遺跡では、地下式坑と呼ばれる地下に掘った穴、井戸の跡、境界に掘った溝の跡、柱穴跡などの遺構が発見された。また、埋められた板碑が数枚、溝からは国産陶器、中国磁器、中国銭が見つかっている。
昔から梶家は板碑があることで有名だ。小金井に70基あるうち梶家では50基が発見されている。主に１３世紀後半から１５世紀初めの板碑だ。板碑は鎌倉・室町時代にかけてつくられた石板の供養塔で、死者の追善や後世の安楽を願って造立された。
小金井には、縄文時代の遺跡は多いが、弥生、古墳、奈良・平安時代の遺跡はほとんどない。中世では、近くの「平代坂地下式坑」が発見され、灰が残されていたことから火葬場か？とみる考えもある。「野川中州北遺跡」では常滑系陶器、中国陶器、板碑が発見、国府(府中)から下総に行く道の野川を渡る場所の遺跡かと考えられている。しかし遺跡はわずかしか見つかっていないし、中世の古文書は皆無だ。
梶野町(元梶野新田)の長昌寺には応永29（1422）年銘の金銅薬師如来像があり、梶野新田を開いたとされる梶家が関係する。平代坂の梶家近くに薬師堂があったという伝承があり関係するかもしれない。神明宮の南には、室町時代初めの「金井原合戦」の供養塚とされる首塚・胴塚がかつてあった。
平代坂遺跡の今回の発掘で何が発見されるか注目される。
Heidaizaka ruins

"At 3chome, Maehara-cho, Koganei City, excavation surveys are being conducted on the land since February 4th year of Reiwa due to development work. Currently, medieval remains and relics from Kamakura to the Warring States period (Large pits, pottery, Itabi= plate monuments, etc.) have been discovered. " Information on the briefing session came from the city. I participated immediately on March 26th. Many people of all ages, men and women, and elementary school students gathered. Heidaizaka is to the south of Tama High School of Science and Technology, and there is an old house called Kajike. Development work is being carried out there. The site is about the size of an elementary school. It was explained by a city curator. At the ruins, remains such as underground pits, well traces, ditches dug at the boundary, and posthole traces were found. In addition, several buried Itabi are found, and domestic pottery, Chinese porcelain, and Chinese coins are found in the ditch.
Kajike has long been famous for its Itabi. Of the 70 in Koganei, 50 have been found in Kajike. It is mainly Itabi from the latter half of the 13th century to the beginning of the 15th century. The itabi is a memorial stone plate built during the Kamakura and Muromachi periods, and was built in the memorial service and comforting posterity.
Koganei has many remains from the Jomon period, but few from the Yayoi, Kofun, and Nara / Heian periods. In the Middle Ages, a nearby " Heidaizaka underground mine" was discovered, and ashes were left behind, so is it a crematorium? Tokoname pottery, Chinese pottery, and itabi were found at the "Nogawa Nakasu Kita Ruins", and it is thought that the ruins are located across the Nogawa River on the road from Kokufu (Fuchu) to Shimosa no Kuni. However, few ruins have been found, and there are no ancient medieval documents.
Attention will be paid to what will be discovered in this excavation of the Heidaizaka site.
