Should students be asked to evaluate their teachers?

Commonly, it is impossible for students to conversely evaluate their teachers. In Japanese sense of respecting superiors, some people may find it rude. But I think it is good for both sides that students evaluate their teachers.

With this system, teachers can increase leadership. Since teachers have little occasion to obtain feedbacks from their students in daily classes, they cannot know how their students feel about their class. Thus, daily classes tend to be one-way communication. The current state is there are many teachers who are misunderstanding their students understand their lessons perfectly. As this gap accumulated, there occur differences in the degree of understanding among students. Then, with this feedback system, teachers can notice their students’ situations and lessen the gap.

On the other hand, students can improve their grades since the lessons become easier to understand. Students, without some fervid students, would not ask questions in classes even if there is something they don’t understand. Especially when they have a beef about their teacher’s approach to teaching itself, they can never tell it directly. Therefore, they tend to get bad grades in an incompatible teacher’s subject. With this evaluating system, students can feel free to express their opinions about approach to teaching or pacing of lessons.

For these reasons, this evaluation system can raise both students’ grade and teachers’ motivation. It should be introduced positively in schools.

Work is an integral part of modern society. The problem is that the emphasis on work has become so great that people's lives are being adversely affected.

the key factor is global competition, which forces companies to emphasize productivity and efficiency above all else. As a result, they push their employees to work more hours with fewer vacations, and they pay little attention to their employee's individual needs.

working in such a business culture means employees must constantly perform well or face dismissal. such pressure put a huge strain on the haelth of workers, many of whom suffer from sleep deprivation or even fall serious ill. In such cases, workers are forced to take time off. The irony for companies is that this costs them money in lost production.

A final factor is the role of materialism. We are constantly bombarded with the message that increasing our possessions is the only road of happiness. To accomplish this, we have to work. The pressure to conform is strong, and people who reject this message by prioritizing their family relationships or leading a "slow life" are often frowned upon.

Perhaps it is time for us all to take a step back and reconsider the role work plays in our lives.

Is much emphasis put on work in modern society?

Japanese people are said to be honest and diligent. Actually, Japanese worker’s work time and overwork time is far more than that of other countries. Why do Japanese business persons work so much? There are some reasons for it.

The first reason is climate in Japanese firms. It is common sense to assume that business is prior to family or pets and is smart and right. On the centrally, in other countries, workers take priority to their family and pets.

That is why Japanese people put emphasis on work.
