Vtubing Recollections

The new streaming schedule has a lot of potential!!! The only aspect that I think I should work on more is maybe putting a longer intermission/rest period between the drawing and gaming segments to meditate... because out of everything, drawing takes the most mental fortitude, so maybe a 45 minute meditation? I am a perfectionist, so I'm kicking myself for the error on the illustration today, i.e. the kneecap and the foot are facing in ways that they shouldn't be possible unless they are broken, but I try not be as harsh on myself because #1, it's a learning experience, #2 the pose is a very difficult one (at least the anatomy looks alright), and #3 otherwise, it looks pretty good. Working on digital art on stream seems to help me focus a bit because sometimes when on work on big illustrations, I can get discouraged or I put off finishing them oftentimes or just erase them altogether.

I think more of a rest period will give me more energy for a longer gaming stream! I did my first Nemleria board wipe on stream today, against Horus!! It felt gratifying to banish King's Sarcophagus, among many other monsters of theirs that can be difficult to take down! I tried a new song for karaoke yesterday: the full version of "Last Kiss" by Bonnie Pink! Followers also challenged me to sing new songs: "Moonlight Densetsu" (Sailor Moon OP), "PAPERMOON" (Soul Eater OP), "Bad Apple" (nomico), "Believer" (Imagine Dragons), and "The Biggest Dreamer" (Digimon Tamers OP)!!

Note: Kai taught me how to play "Cardfight Vanguard" yesterday, I look forward to playing the game more in the future!

Another note: I hadn't watched the "Android Kikaider" TV anime in over 10 years, so I forgot how absolutely crazy it could get, Episode #10 was insane! We still haven't seen Saburo transform into Hakaider yet... I am pretty sure that canonically happens in Episode #11.

Goals for Today's Stream Cycle:

  • Be more careful with body structure anatomy with illustrations.
  • Longer intermission between the drawing and gaming stream segments.
  • Study at least 1 hour of Japanese during the gaming segment.
  • Have the gaming segment be at least 3 hours long (set a timer).
  • Practice the songs that were suggested to me and learn another new song of my choosing.

Outside of Streaming

I've been slowly revisiting one of my top 10 favorite anime series: "Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru"! I just finished rewatching the "Hero" arc, I'm excited to get to the "Dai-Mankai no Shō" series because it has my favorite arc: "Nogi Wakaba wa Yūsha de Aru"!! I hope that more of the "Yūki Yūna" adjacent series get translated into English, we were lucky enough to get a good fan translation for the duration of "Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Hanayui no Kirameki" mobile game, I'm hoping that we can continue to see more of the series in English, it's very niche and I know it hasn't had as much of an appeal to an international audience, but maybe someday! It's a franchise that I'm very passionate about!

Note: Translations lead to more connotations about the characters, it's hinted at briefly, but the anime adaptations doesn't touch as much as the characters in past arcs that are canonically reincarnated in later arcs: like Fū/Tamako and Itsuki/Anzu. So, having the light novels and manga adaptations are oftentimes important for additional context.

The Marshmallow I got yesterday was by far my favorite! I was hyped while writing my response!!!

Q: If you were going to war to decide the fate of the world, what weapon (fictional or not) would you bring?

A: In the Nitroplus Blasterz fighting game, my main was Anna ("Gekkō no Carnevale") and she had wings made out of wooden stakes that acted as homing missiles... something like that would be cool because I could both attack and fly with them! A magic or divine katana would be cool too, like Ikutachi, it would be great to have a sword that was an anthropomorphized companion, too. A lot of thoughts come to mind with this question...

Karna often rests his tail on me, I think that that's a sign of affection? When I'm in bed or sitting down, Karna will lay his big fluffy tail on me.
