Hello! It’s 2025, the year of the snake. Perhaps since I am a fan of reptiles, it will be a fortuitous year??? Who actually knows! I am back to streaming! There is a lot to be grateful for and excited about this year! I have also been hooked on Super Eyepatch Wolf videos recently, it had made me want to play the Mother games and Undertale, though I was already curious about those two games beforehand.
I cleaned the entire apartment in the eve of the new year. Furthermore, I think I have been sleeping a lot better because my bed is in a much more dark, quiet area. Karna seems to like it a lot, too, he’s been attached to my hip for weeks! Pets are the most unbiased and loyal best friends that you can have. Kenma has been very happy, too! I organized all of the journals, reference books, fiction books, anime Blu-rays, and comfort books is different milk bottle containers, so everything is easily accessible around the reading nook and entertainment area!
I’m going to dissect my goals a bit, to make them more understandable for the ephemories that may be perusing this blog:
New Year Resolutions 2025 🐍 [unpacked]
>read 54 books
· In 2024, I only read 9 books, the year prior (in 2023), I had read a total of 400. So, I dropped off a lot from before. In 2024, there were a lot of huge life changes and crushing psychological issues, so everything felt painful and heavy to do. I am on the mend, so realistically, I may not read hundreds of books, but at least want to make it to a small milestone, because reading brings me a lot of peace.

· I have streamed 2 days in a row, since the new year has begun. In 2022 and 2023, I streamed an insane amount, but the streaming rate dropped a bit in 2024 because of life events, but I want to keep trying because I love streaming and it makes me happy.
>225 drawings
· Something I want to improve at. My goal this year is become better at rendering and line art, and I want to draw more of my favorite characters and oshis. I’m a big otaku and fangirl, so being able to do my favorite characters justice would bring me joy!
>225 poems
· Poetry has become less scary for me than actual prose because I can use language to write my feelings abstractly. I never would have thought that the intimacy of being direct about my feelings would be a thing because I am normally a very direct person, but this past year has changed me. A few years ago I was learning custom book binding and if I write enough poems, I would like I make a custom bound tome of poems.

· I love singing. I don’t feel very confident with my voice sometimes, but I love singing, and I love singing for an audience.

· I have a 2-day streak on my Japanese learning app. I want to be able to speak conversationally, sing Japanese songs with more accuracy, and to be able to read untranslated games!

· I am a bit behind on new anime and manga, I want to catch up.
>write 1 novel
· There is a novel that I have been wanting to write since 2021, I hope I can find the strength to finish it this year. I have cowered in the past because the book is very dark.
