名古屋大須在住の与作です。名古屋市中村区大門町の「蕎麦 伊とう」さんに行ってきました。大門町界隈はご存知、大正時代に中村遊郭(その後・名楽園)があった街。遊郭時代の建築物と住宅街・商店街・風俗店がごく自然に共存する不思議な街「大門」。昭和の雰囲気を色濃く残す名古屋を代表する下町です。
こちらのお店は「牛若楼」という屋号の元妓楼。転業旅館を経て2012年にリノベーションをした建物で営業されています。風格ある素敵な中庭のある店内で食べる蕎麦は、厳選した蕎麦の実を毎日、必要な分だけ石臼で粉を挽くというこだわり。お値段は張りますがそれだけの価値のある蕎麦は絶品です。

This restaurant is a former brothel called "Ushiwakaro". It is operating in a building that was renovated in 2012 after a change of occupation. The restaurant, which has a lovely courtyard, is very particular about its soba noodles, which are made from carefully selected buckwheat seeds that are ground on a stone mortar every day for the amount needed. The price is high, but the buckwheat noodles are well worth the price.
