Day 5 Report:
We had a very nice day again today. It was Education Day for government schools, so our school was showcasing all their achievements. This means we had some free time.
We entertained our students by singing Japanese songs then Australian songs. We all laughed at the different meanings the students thought that the songs meant.
We practised our presentation for the last day so that it would be a good performance.
We are going to sing for the Australian students and then invite them to sing with us. I hope they can do well on that day. We don’t want to think about the last day at this beautiful school.
We also practised what we will show to the Australian students.
Our students went for a short bushwalk and explored some of the school grounds. We looked at the beautiful scenery of native trees and plants taking a lot of lovely photos to show their parents and to keep our good memories. We only walked around part of the bushland so we really want to explore the whole area.
After our bushwalk the Australian students did special performances to entertain their parents and visitors for Education Day. They danced to music and they were so good. We really enjoyed the performance.
Some of the Japanese students are experiencing jetlag from their long trip and all the excitement of coming to Australia. Hopefully the jetlag will disappear over the next day or two.
We only have six more days at this wonderful school.
We are hoping to make long-term friends from this trip.
Hopefully the students will continue to communicate and build their
friendships by email and texting messages.
Some of the students have already cooked Japanese food for their host families. The host families loved the food and gave compliments to the students. Over the next few days all students would have cooked a delicious meal for their families to taste what Japanese food is like.
Looking forward to another busy, exciting day at school.
ELS21 ５日目の報告書
今日も過ごし易い気持ちのよい一日でした。
今迄バタバタ忙しい日が続いていましたが今日は一日ゆっくり出来る日だったのでやらないといけない事を沢山練習したり準備をしたりしながらゆったりと時間を楽しみました。
最後のお別れ会で歌う歌を決め沢山練習した。なかなかまっすぐ立ったり、前を向いて歌う事ができない。私達の最後の日に見せるパフォーマンスだからこそしっかり練習し今迄お世話になった皆様へ感謝の気持ちを届けて欲しい。さぁどんなショーになるか、どんなショーを作り上げるか楽しみです！！
そして来週から始る日本語レッスンの練習をしてオーストラリアのみんなを迎える準備をしました。
その後広い学校を探検しました。半分しか行けなかったけど・・・でも子供達は大はしゃぎで美しい光景に大喜び。ここにずっといれたら良いね！って話していました。
今日は学校で保護者の方が来て子供達のパフォーマンスを見るというイベントがありました。それを私達も一緒に見せてもらいました。
後この学校にいれるのも６日。出来る限り子供達が楽しめる様にサポートしていきたい。時差ぼけや飛行機よいをしている者もいるようだ。。。
それにそろそろ長旅と慣れない生活から疲れが出始める頃だから。。
ミッションの中にホストに日本食を作ろう・・・というものがある。
既に何名かは作ったとの事。ホストが美味しいと食べてくれたと嬉しそうに話してくれた。そのし明日それをお昼に持っていくと言ってくれた・・・と。
他の生徒も頑張ってミッションを実行して欲しい。
